After 2 weeks the Mac Mini went to sleep while I was in the middle of a Dreamweaver task. It has not awakened from that sleep. Right after posting my question I came across a post claiming to have success with 16 GB on my model machine running High Sierra. Apple originally listed it with a 4GB maximum for memory and we were the first to support it to 8GB fwiw. Some manufacturers place restrictions on how details of their products may be communicated.
